Letters: Oil revenue secret

AT THE last First Minister’s Questions, Labour leader Johann Lamont was critical of SNP chief Alex Salmond for not disclosing timeously that Korean firm Doosan had withdrawn its interest in offshore wind farm research centre in Renfrew.

Not surprisingly, the same Ms Lamont had no objections to her own party’s 30-year secret at Westminster to hiding information about the hundreds of billions of pounds of oil wealth that has poured into the Treasury coffers during that time.

This was considered “highly confidential” and kept secret from the Scottish people.
