Letter: Tick warning

THE story of Janey Cringean's fight to be diagnosed with Lyme disease ("Just a tick", Spectrum, 23 May) highlights the need for more awareness in the UK about ticks and the tick-borne diseases they can carry.

As a victim of Lyme disease which left me permanently disabled, I understand the devastating effects that these diseases can have and urge people to check our website for further advice and information at www.bada-uk.org before heading outdoors to enjoy the sun.
