Letter: Smoke out the lies

Congratulations to Brian Monteith (Comment, 15 November) for exposing the busybodies of Ash Scotland.

I resent being lectured to by these zealots, and resent even more their lying to me. But I am absolutely furious that my taxes help facilitate their self-serving mendacity.

It is also worth noting that every major Scottish paper gave uncritical coverage of this organisation's "highly tendentious" report. Perhaps in future your journalists might adopt a more sceptical approach to "research" generated by the new puritans who think they have a right to tell us what to do with out bodies.
