Letter: Sexual politics

Correspondents have expressed "disgust" at Brian Souter's knighthood (Letters, 14 June).

Such is the aggression of the gay lobby that anyone who dares question its agenda is regarded as deserving of exclusion from mainstream society. Mr Souter's crime, it seems, was to try to expose the chasm between public opinion and the ubiquitous liberal political and media line.

People often equate criticism of homosexual sexual activity with racism, but do they really fail to see the obvious distinction between opposing a behaviour and mistreating a group because of an inherent characteristic?

The slogan "Some people are gay. Get over it" has been used widely. How about "Some people regard homosexual sex as immoral. Get over it" as well?
