Letter: Scandalous affair

I am writing in reply to your columnist Emma Cowing and her article on injunctions (25 May).

I don't like her assumption that it is our birthright to know about the adulteries of famous people, and that these people should not be allowed to cover their tracks with injunctions merely because this prevents the rest of us knowing about them.

Is scandal what we value these days? Would it not be better to attempt some reform of these people rather than stand on the sidelines condemning them?
