Letter: Role model for Islay Airport

I HAD the same experience at Islay Airport as your reader Linda Lawson (Debate, 19 February) but not only were the contents of my bag and briefcase spread out all over the table for all to see, but my jacket was turned inside out and its pockets emptied before my wallet was also opened up.

The plane was delayed as the absurd procedure was repeated with one or two others. What fun the security mannie there must have. Now compare it with Stornoway Airport, where a much broader view is taken of us mainland foreign spies and smugglers.
