Letter: Retro Aberdeen
YOU report (10 April) that supporters of the proposed transformation of Union Terrace Gardens wish to “drag Aberdeen kicking and screaming into the 21st century”.
As if that were a good thing. In any case, the scheme would only drag the city into the 20th century and its architectural horrors, as Annie Lennox has pointed out. Why would they want to be passé rather than elegantly historic?
