Letter: Nuts about nature

IT FEELS like we've had a great deal of miserable news over the past few weeks so my mood was immediately lightened when I opened the Letters pages on Saturday (18 December) to see that wonderful picture of a healthy red squirrel with an enormous tail.

As much as I enjoy their prosperous grey counterparts, it's lovely to see examples of red squirrels thriving in parts of Scotland.
