Letter: Must try harder

IT APPEARS that Scotland’s stalwart forwards may be showing signs of the “tried our best” infection that the backs have now suffered from for the past few years.

This may be because under the current set up no-one believes they can win a game. Perhaps they have no confidence in the attack.

Mr Robinson always insists that the priority is to win the game.

Yet after every game we are asked to look at the statistics for signs of improvement.

Negativity and doubt is an infection that easily spreads without the proper diagnosis and medication.
