Letter: Lessons at the bar
Following accusations of homophobia and attacking women at the Kirk Assembly, can I point out that renowned pub chain JD Wetherspoon has an equal-opportunities policy that would put the Church of Scotland to shame?
If any such behaviour was seen on their premises, the bigots responsible would find themselves removed by security very quickly.
Given the financial troubles of the Kirk, I wonder if the conversion of some of their premises might not be such a bad thing.
