Letter: Learning to think

Norman Bonney of the National Secular Society (NSS) asks: “Is it not time that pupils in state-funded schools were freed from religious indoctrination?” (Letters, 28 April).

Indeed. I am tired that the religious views of the small but vociferous National Secular Society are constantly being taught our children.

Please can we be free of this insidious indoctrination and instead of telling children what to think, teach them how to think, as those made in the image of their Creator.

Or is that too threatening and Christian for the devotees of the NSS?
