Letter: Keith Brown deserves vote of thanks

I WOULD have thought more of Scotland on Sunday if it had given credit where it was due to Transport Minister Keith Brown, who, when the hurricanes hit us last autumn, went into action immediately.

His youthful energy and military background ensured a first class recovery, even though more rural areas and the islands fared the worst with electricity failure because of lack of manpower to access lines for repair. Even then he brought in help from south of the Border.

It’s just such a pity that your anti-SNP bias focuses on any trivia, such as how many times Keith Brown has, or has not, travelled by rail (News, 12 February). We all know that public transport has much room for improvement but I’m sure the government knows it, too. It’s all on track. Let’s wait and see.
