His unsubstantiated statement that "the largest faith group in Scotland is those of no faith" simply does not stand up to scrutiny.
The most recent census reports that 65 per cent of the population of Scotland profess to be Christian and another 2 per cent profess another religion, while 28 per cent professed no religion.

Hide AdWhether or not we discount the 5 per cent who chose not to answer the question, "people of faith" outnumber "people of no faith" by a very large margin indeed.
