Letter: Hollande hoo-ha

You seem a bit early in printing praise for François Hollande (Letters, 8 May) and his stated, but not implemented, intention to up France’s corporation tax to 35 per cent.

Perhaps two or so years after its implementation – if it ever happens – you might print an article about whether the UK’s lowering of this tax or France’s raising of it appears to be the better strategy.

Socialists being against austerity does not make UK policy to pay off our debt bad. We should await evidence.
