Letter: Discrimination

Dr JOHN Cameron (Letters, 4 December) completely misrepresents the Equality Act 2010. Under the new act, as under the legislation it replaced, it is quite clearly against the law for employers "to choose women, gays, transgenders, ethnic minorities and the disabled ahead of better qualified, straight, white males". That would be unlawful discrimination.
