Letter: A class apart

I WAS disappointed to read the comments made by a Cosla spokesperson in your report (11 June).

Teachers do not see themselves as better than other council employees, just different. We perform a different function and this leads to a difference in our pay and conditions.

Do the members of Cosla really believe that they are better than others because they are paid more? Or do they understand that they perform a different function and that they are paid accordingly?
