Letter: Bird-brained

GEORGE Sorial of the Trump Organisation has been praised in some quarters for suggesting the offshore wind farm proposed for Aberdeen Bay should be sited in a more industrial environment, i.e. up coast near St Fergus.

Now given Mr Trump in one of his rants stated wind turbines kill thousands of birds, moving the wind farm up coast would bring it close to the Loch of Strathbeg, Britain’s largest dune loch where, in winter, thousands of wild geese, swans and ducks can be seen. In summer, gulls, terns, and wading birds raise their young there.

If Mr Trump’s prediction about wind farms killing birds is to be believed, would this not put Mr Sorial’s suggestion in the daft category?
