Have a word

I am flattered that someone (Celia Hobbs, Letters, 15 September) thinks they recall something I said in 2007. Apparently my response was one word.

As anyone will testify, I have never been known to use one word when 50 are to hand. I think your correspondent must have nodded off for 49 of them.
