Food for thought

It IS a disgrace that the Scottish Government permits food banks to operate.

They are spending a fortune promoting Gaelic, which is practically a dead language and has never at any time been Scotland’s language. For decades now there has not been one person in Scotland whose first language is Gaelic. “Gaelic speaker” written on a CV is not going to help in procuring a job.

They provided soft pillows for convicts while sports and educational facilities are also available to them. There has been no effort to cut the claims for expenses from MSPs.

They could therefore easily find the funding to ease the hardship of those using food banks, but no doubt for purely political reasons it suits the Scottish Government to let them suffer rather than help to alleviate their dire situation.
