Fight terrorism

The recent bombings in Northern Ireland only highlight once again how a minority can disrupt a political process. Now is the time for all sections of the government to come together, instead of fighting one another.

As another historical process unfolds, the politicians of each party should use their new-found policing powers to eradicate terrorism for good.

In leading by example the politicians should demonstrate a united front in their condemnation of another political bombing. However, the responsibility is not theirs alone: the good citizens of Northern Ireland should also stand together and instead of burying their heads in the sectarian sandpit, open their hearts to each other and stand firm against these terrorists.

Law and order should be allowed to resume on an egalitarian platform, ensuring everyone is treated fairly, no matter their race, creed or colour.
