Fallen role model

It IS surprising that the media does not seem to want to cover the political and economic turmoil in Ireland anymore.

With Ireland officially returning to recession last week, then seeking a delay in its IMF bailout as it can’t afford the payments, with unemployment double in the Republic than in Northern Ireland, including 30 per cent youth unemployment and, sadly, mass emigration of the young once more – I would have thought there would have been front pages on the country that we used to be told was a role model for Scotland.
