Drug dangers

You report (1 August) that fewer drug addicts than usual have been attending NHS needle exchange clinics in Scotland.

I truly hope this is because needle use among addicts has fallen – or indeed that the number of people addicted to injecting drugs has fallen. If not, it means people are going back to sharing needles, a practice which has tragic consequences.
