Driven to drink
In order to lighten up the second referendum debate on Monday, 25 August I have
devised the Referendum Debate Drinking game:
Mention of weapons of mass destruction: one drink.
Mention of “people of Scotland”: one drink.
Accusing the other side of bullying: one drink.
Blaming Margaret Thatcher: drink one glass of 24-year-old whisky (it is 24 years since she left office).
Using the term “mince”: drink one small bottle of Buckfast.
Invoking Robert the Bruce: down one flagon of mead.
