Drinking is a personal choice

CHIEF executive of ­Alcohol ­Focus Scotland Dr ­Evelyn ­Gillan (Letters, 2 June) ­ignores one simple fact in her argument: no-one is forced to drink by the drinks industry and certainly not to excess.

Her letter denies the existence of free will and personal responsibility and her arguments in favour of minimum alcohol pricing must be rejected for this very reason.
