Dream on, Dave

David Cameron’s speech on Britain’s aim to have the highest percentage of people in work of any developed nation is nothing short of empty words, hot air and rhetoric.

With a large number of people unemployed over the age of 40 this government, since coming into power, has cut schemes left right and centre since designed to help those people back to work. It has put all its efforts into youth unemployment.

With low pay and zero-hour contracts having risen dramatically since it came into power and European immigrants being offered numerous jobs that could go to British workers, I fail to see how he can achieve his “big dream”.

This kind of speech is going to further alienate voters who are experiencing unemployment or financial hardship such as low wages. Typical Conservatives – the rich get richer and the poor get poorer or no better off.
