Down to earth

Ahead of the election I hear myself being referred to as "grassroots". Be aware: I am still above ground and intend to remain so for a very long time! I am capable of understanding their dubious promises and spotting their deliberate omissions. I am not a small, unthinking, buried part of a plant, unable to hear, comprehend and respond to this superficial and untrustworthy prelude to the realities of 7 May onwards.
