Debate switch-on

When Alex Salmond claims the UK party leaders' TV debate is "meaningless to Scots'' (Your report, 14 April), what he means, of course, is that it is meaningless to the 10 per cent or so of the total electorate who voted for his party. The 90 per cent of Scots who did not can watch this debate if they so wish.

I do very much resent Mr Salmond and others in the SNP talking about "Scots'' and "Scotland'' when in fact what they mean are a handful of Nationalists intent on breaking up the UK.
