Cruel captivity

I AM not at all surprised that a man has been charged after a 3.5ft alligator was discovered by police in a car boot outside an Edinburgh store (News July 8).

No-one should be allowed to keep exotic pets. Also persons who sell them to members of the public should face prosecution.

They are best left alone where they belong in the wild.
