Campaign fears

So, AMERICAN-STYLE politics will finally reach Scotland’s shores with the SNP’s media onslaught to convince voters of the benefits of independence (your report, 12 March). The blitz may work – if we can get away from much of the emotional bluster and vague promises already heard from both sides of the argument and be informed about the stark facts on which we can base a sound judgment.

However, is it not the case that many people become fed up with the biased party political broadcasts inflicted upon us at election time and there is a danger that the Nationalists’ initiative will seem like a broken record, going on and on and on, and be counter-productive?
