Bad sport
Whatever shortcomings or sins are laid at the door of Sepp Blatter concerning his Fifa role, it appears his latest so-called gaffe (your report, 18 November) will decide his fate as president of that unhappy organisation.
I witnessed a carefully edited clip of his response to a question regarding racist behaviour in football; it seems Blatter is so far out of touch with the modern game he fails to realise simple sportmanship no longer has any place in its conduct.
What a shame.
