I was interested to read that women’s spines are formed differently from those of men (your report, 27 July).

The difference helps women to cope with childbearing, but there’s a downside – of course there is. As a result of this special dispensation, we’re more likely to develop scoliosis and osteoporosis in later years. So, ladies, when we’ve done our duty and gone forth and multiplied, we’re then condemned to go to rack and ruin in our dotage. I can’t imagine why there are still some who doubt the existence of God.
