The week in cartoons

AS EVER, our cartoonists have been busy scribbling away as a raft of new stories have made the headlines this week.

There was also the SNP’s party conference in Glasgow, Donald Tump’s latest wind(power)-induced tirade at First Minister Alex Salmond, and the arrest of horse-loving former News International chief executive Rebekah Brooks.

The week drew to a close with scepticism on renewables jobs, and in Afghanistan president Hamid Karzai told Nato troops to keep calm and carry on as tensions grow in his country.
