The week in cartoons

Scottish independence, the eurozone and the new French president dominated the week in cartoons

Our cartoonists reflect on a week that included the new French president, revelations from the Leveson inquiry and the Scottish independence debate.

New French president, Francois Hollande visited his German counterpart for the first time. Our cartoonist pokes fun at the austere welcome he was to receive from the German Chancellor plus there were a few laugh-out-loud moments at the Leveson inquiry.

The independence debate raged on at Holyrood and Westminster whilst Jeremy Hunt clung on to what was left of his political career.

Cartoons by Iain Green and Brian Adcock.
