The Scotsman cartoon: Scottish Labour leadership
TODAY the final votes will be cast in the Scottish Labour leadership contest that has put Jim Murphy against MSP Sarah Boyack and Neil Findlay.
Less than a year after the referendum on independence, the politics of the UK “for years to come” will again rest on how the Scottish electorate votes, Mr Murphy said.
The East Renfrewshire MP is competing with left-wing challenger Neil Findlay and Sarah Boyack for the role vacated by Johann Lamont, with the victor due to be announced on Saturday.
