‘GERS’ stands for “Government Expenditure and Revenue Scotland” and is an annual report which reveals the state of the country’s finances. The figures released recently can’t be good news Yes campaign, especially after a further warning from the Institute for Fiscal Studies highlighting caution over public expenditure for an independent Scotland.
