THE Scottish Government’s tax plans for Scotland in the event of independence contain “very little detail”, according to a report by The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland (ICAS).
The possibility of a “solidarity charge” being implemented to help pay the cost of creating a new state after independence was also raised.
ICAS warned in a report that the bill for setting up a Scottish taxman could top £750 million, but calls for more clarity from the SNP Government on the issue.
