The Government has unveiled a package of reforms in response to the outcry over soaring energy bills.
Energy Secretary Ed Davey has said that consumers should be “in control” and warned that energy companies which are found to have rigged the markets face criminal penalties.
Critics have described the plan as resembling “rearranging the deckchairs on the Titanic”.
