Earlier this week Royal Bank of Scotland and Lloyds said they would move headquarters south of the border if there was a Yes vote in next week’s referendum. While Standard Life announced they were looking into a contingency plan.

Sillars, speaking from his campaign vehicle the “Margo Mobile” (named after his deceased wife and former SNP politician Margo MacDonald), insisted that employers are “subverting Scotland’s democratic process”.
