The latter infuriate me since there is no such thing as can’t when you put your mind to something.
Fresh on the quest to create a capsule clothing collection, my first stop was Parliament.

Hide AdThe building has always inspired me and with the referendum looming around the same time as I’ll unveil the body of work I thought could be a great concept for the collection.
I know how despondent people are about politics, particularly my generation, so I saw it as a way to get people talking.
After bringing in the bells on Radio 5 Live, we had an eight-minute discussion on independence. As the question rang out across the UK, I was sure we’d get some response. Wrong. Listeners couldn’t have cared less about engaging in the discussion. We swiftly moved onto merrier topics.
I suppose people had better things to do on Hogmanay, but that’s it in a nutshell. Same thing, different day.
After meeting the person in charge of events at Parliament, I couldn’t have felt less engaged if she’d simply stood me up.
That not to say she wasn’t lovely. She simply radiated the can’t mentality imposed on her by Parliament rules and regulations.
I guess that’s why it’s called a challenge. Time to find another venue.
