Cartoons of the week 09/06/2012 - 15/06/2012

ALEX Salmond’s appearance at Leveson, the Euro 2012 and the accompanying Eurozone difficulties are given an airing in this week’s cartoons.

Sat 9 June: The idea of class wars is represented by a well-dressed pair of ‘toffs’ - David Cameron and George Osborne - faced by angry public sector workers.

Sun 10 June: As the Euro 2012 tournament kicks off, Angela Merkel referees her own ‘match’ between Spain and Greece, with France watching from the sidelines, and a stretcherload of ‘bailouts’ brought on to the pitch.

Wed 13 June: Labour leader Ed Miliband is pictured being dragged along by the ‘political bandwagon’.

Thu 14 June: After a typically high profile and much-documented appearance at the Leveson inquiry, Alex Salmond’s relationship with Rupert Murdoch is again called into question...

Fri 15 June: Gordon Brown is visited by three familiar apparitions in the form of Andy Coulson, David Cameron and Rebekah Brooks, following comments he made about News International.
