At a meeting of Clydebank Town Council on Thursday night, Provost Taylor intimated that he had received the following letter from Colonel A Cavaye, the private secretary to the Duke of Montrose: “I am desired by the Duke of Montrose to inform you that His Majesty has consented to open the new waterworks at Bowcrooks and the new filters at Cochno, by pressing an electric button on the stand to be erected at Dalmuir, on Wednesday 8 July.” 
Hamilton arrangements: Provost Moffat has received intimation that the alteration of route has been approved. Their Majesties, after visiting Hamilton Palace, will enter Hamilton burgh. They will motor to Central Caledonian Railway Station, where they will entrain for Edinburgh. A halt will be made in Cadzow Street at the new Municipal Buildings, the door of which will be opened by the King operating an electrical arrangement.
