Online laptop scheme catches theif

EDINBURGH police seized a £1400 laptop stolen in London thanks to a website that allows people to register their personal possessions.

Information from immobilise.com let Lothian and Borders Police reunite the laptop, which was reported stolen by Metropolitan Police, with its owner. The service helps police forces identify owners of lost and stolen goods thousands of times a day.
