One last spin

A WORKER took a final slide down the Helter Skelter yesterday before the dismantling process got under way.

The traditional attraction, owned by Arthur Price, was part of the Winter Wonderland at Princes Street Gardens.

As ever, one of the centrepieces of the Winter Wonderland was the Edinburgh Wheel, which has become an icon of the city skyline at Christmas.

It was joined by the Flying Carousel, the Christmas Carousel and the Children's Christmas Corner, which allowed younger children to enjoy funfair rides and celebrate the festive period in their own way.
