One Direction to play Edinburgh’s Murrayfield

Chart-topping boyband One Direction are to play at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium next year, it has been announced.

The group will play their only Scottish date on June 3, 2014, with tickets going on sale on Saturday May 25.

The date marks part of the group’s world stadium tour and will see Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Zane Malik and Niall Horan take the stage.

The group revealed details of the mammoth Where We Are Tour at a press conference at Wembley Stadium in north London.

One Direction, who shot to fame on the X Factor, have become a global phenomenon since their debut single in 2011 and have sold more than 30 million records and DVDs globally and topped the charts in more than 37 countries.
