JUST three weeks ago, Tom Harris posted a video urging constituents in Glasgow South to re-elect him in the general election.
But over the weekend, he posted a video to his YouTube channel in which he admits being ‘bored with politics’.
In a minute-long clip, Harris - who stood in the 2011 Scottish Labour Party leadership election - says: “Four days to go and I don’t know about you, but I’m really bored with politics now.
“So here’s a video of a dog being dragged around on a carpet.”
The clip then cuts to what appears to be Harris playing with a dog and a toy, before a message says ‘Re-elect Poppy’s owner’.
Reaction was, predictably, mixed.
Twitter user @scott_eff said: “That Tom Harris video is an inexhaustible source of joy” while @archie_guevara added: “I don’t mind Tom Harris’s carpet and his dog is quite cute.”
However, SNP MSP Humza Yousaf linked to the video saying: “Want proof Tom Harris given up on Glasgow South? Watch his bizarre campaign vid dragging his dog across carpet.”
