

First in the queue, Stuart Allan, 55, from the city centre, was outside the Tattoo office in Market Street from 3.30am – six-and-a-half hours before the doors opened.
He has been a Tattoo regular for about 20 years. “I used to just come along and queue for two hours, but you get a better choice of ticket if you’re here early,” he said.
