No plea in farm killing hearing

A MAN has appeared in court charged with the murder of an 80-year-old woman in her home.

Jenny Methven was discovered at Kildinny Farm cottage in Forteviot, Perthshire, on 20 February.

William Kean, 46, of Blairgowrie, made no plea or declaration at Perth Sheriff Court yesterday and was remanded in custody.
