No answer on donations

HEALTH chiefs have refused to reveal how much cash has been left to hospitals in donations.

A request for information on bequests from former patients and staff to NHS Lothian was rejected on the grounds it would have cost more than 600 to source.

Earlier this year it emerged NHS Highland has more than 7 million in its accounts that has been donated through wills, much of which it is unable to use because it has been ring-fenced for certain causes.
