New role for Provost

THE Lord Provost has been appointed as the Capital’s first “volunteering ambassador”.

Donald Wilson will oversee the development of a volunteering scheme for the council’s workforce.

He said: “A third of Edinburgh’s residents already volunteer and their contribution is of huge value.”
