New health centre opens

Minister for Public Health Michael Matheson will officially open the new £20 million Musselburgh Primary Care Centre on Tuesday.

The centre is set to host a range of services, including the three local GP practices, paediatric and adult outpatient clinics, speech and language therapy, clinical psychology, children’s services, podiatry, physiotherapy, and community nursing. There will also be two new community dental suites.

The new building also boasts green credentials, including a combined heat and power plant which generates ten per cent of its own electricity.
